Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine, University of Tennessee
Michael S. Blaiss, MD, is an Allergist and Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine at the University of Tennessee and has a private practice in Memphis at Allergy and Asthma Care. Dr. Blaiss has been named to the list "Best Doctors in America" from 1999-2010. In 2009, he was named by USA Today as one of the most influential physicians in asthma care. He has been a member of the editorial boards for the Annals of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, World Allergy Organization Journal, Journal of Asthma, and Allergy and Asthma Proceedings, and American Journal of Rhinology and Allergy.

Speaker: Laura Tillman, President CF Roundtable, Board of Directors member of USACFA
Laura Tillman was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis in 1995, at the age of 47 and after years of suffering from chronic sinus infections, a chronic cough, pseudomonas infections, and a sundry of other symptoms. She is currently 63 years old. Laura took an early retirement in 2000 from her position as a certified school psychologist, due to constant infections acquired from working with infants and toddlers. Since then, she has been involved in volunteer activities for various CF organizations, both state and national. Laura has been on the board of directors of USACFA since 2003, and is currently serving as the President. She is also the director of the CF Roundatable.

Carol is a registered nurse and certified asthma educator with many years of helping patients and families offers one-on-one help at the AANMA's (Allergy Asthma Network Mothers of Asthmatics) Patient Support Center. She has extensive experience in adult and pediatric medicine-specializing in asthma and allergy for the last thirty years. She has presented at plenary and workshop sessions of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (AAAAI). She is currently a member of the Food Allergy, Anaphylaxis, Dermatology and Drug Allergy (FADDA) Interest Section for the AAAAI. She has co-chaired the Allied Health section of AAAAI and the ACAAI (American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology) and has coordinated numerous regional conferences and asthma education programs throughout the country.
